The Society, founded in 1884 is a non-political society to promote and celebrate all things Scottish. Our mission is to encourage a proper pride in Scotland's heritage and to co-operate with other organisations and societies which foster similar objectives and to support occasions that strengthen our identity.

The Society's AGM was held on 8th April at Huddersfield Golf Club.

At the AGM on 8th April, Barry Duncan was duly elected to serve as President and Chief for 2011/12.
Barry expressed how delighted and honoured he was to be elected Chief and hoped that he would be able to live up to the role. Members present expressed the view that Barry would be a very able Chief.

The second golf competition in the Society's calendar was the Cameron Shield held at Huddersfield Golf Club on 4th August.
Ralph Drummond was succesful in winning the Cameron Shield on a count back. He and Jonny Heyes both scored 40 points.
